Arsenal have their work cut out for them in the Champions League this season; not only are they in the much-vaunted ‘group of death’, but they are also in line to come up against a player who can outsprint Usain Bolt in the first 30 meters.
Borussia Dortmund’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is one of the fastest players in the modern game.
Signed from St Etienne this summer, the 24-year old was timed running faster than the legendary Jamaican. The Gabon international clocked just 3.7 seconds over 30 meters ,while training with the German giants in Switzerland during preseason - almost one second faster than Bolt in his stunning 100m dash in Berlin in 2009.
He fits Dortmund’s counterattacking style like a glove, and if Arsenal harbor any ambitions of progressing past the Champions’ League group stages, then they would do worse than keeping a keen eye on him.
